The KiDS Lab has been lucky to be involved in the training of students from many levels, including doctoral students, practicum students, postdoctoral fellows, visiting scholars, medical students, and undergraduate research assistants. Director – Justin Parent, Ph.D.
Dr. Parent received his Ph.D. in Clinical and Developmental Psychology at the University of Vermont and completed his clinical psychology internship at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Parent is the Director of the KiDS Lab and an Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology area in the Department of Psychology at URI. He is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed studies, and his research has been supported by grants from NIMHD, NICHD, and NIGMS, and has been recognized through several awards (e.g., Biden White House - Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, Abidin Early Career Research Award, NIH/OBSSR Early Stage Investigator Award, APS Rising Star).
